The concept of public authority, public authority and state power The concept of state, function and mechanism of public authority Legal state Form of government, horizontal division of power State integration, vertical division of power Electoral systems, right to vote, direct democracy and its forms The concept of public administration, public administration and private administration Public administration entities Public administration organization Decision making in public administration

Knowledge
The course builds on the knowledge of the subjects of the Bachelor's study, in particular on the courses focusing on the theory of law, constitutional law, administrative law and territorial government and self-government.
Students will acquire a comprehensive overview of the most important concepts in the field of state science and public administration. The student is able to orientate in the system of public power in the state and is able to explain the activities of state authorities. The student can describe basic milestones of public administration in the Czech territory.
