Course content
1. Introduction to ethics, philosophy of ethics; basic concepts 2. Ethics in health care, stakeholder theory and responsibility 3. Internal and external factors affecting healthcare ethics and ethical decision-making 4. Health care ethics and ethical issues: management, care and treatment 5. Healthcare ethics and human rights 6. Healthcare ethics and employees, organisational culture and ethical management tools towards employees 7. Healthcare ethics and patients; patients' rights; tools for ethical management of patients 8. Healthcare ethics, environment and sustainability 9. Healthcare ethics and the beginning of life 10. Healthcare ethics and research 11. Clinical ethics; ethics in nursing 12. Health care ethics and the end of life 13. Health care ethics and transplantation

learning outcomes
Students gain basic knowledge of both healthcare and health care ethics and management ethics in healthcare and health care. The course shows the possibilities of applying the acquired knowledge concerning the ethical aspects of the work of managers and employees in various organizations providing health care, both towards clients and in the organization itself in the manager-employee relationship and in mutual relations between employees. The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge related to responsible professional behavior, which can make it easier for them to solve various ethical problems in situations that require ethical decisions and that they encounter in everyday practice.
Students gain basic knowledge of both healthcare and health care ethics and management ethics in healthcare and health care. The course shows the possibilities of applying the acquired knowledge concerning the ethical aspects of the work of managers and employees in various organizations providing health care, both towards clients and in the organization itself in the manager-employee relationship and in mutual relations between employees.
