Course content
Basic words of compression and error control coding. - Entropy of message source. - Compression of messages. - Memory - less transmission channel. - Generating matrix. - Parity-check matrix. - Cyclic codes. - Convolutional codes, Viterbi algorithm of decoding. - Turbo codes. - Data transmission. - Digital subscriber lines. - ADSL, xDSL. - Quality of Services (QoS). - Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
