Course content
1. Basic concepts and explanation of their nature. 2. Emotional intelligence, its characteristics, emotional intelligence cognitive, interpersonal, emotional and civic virtues, ethics and the art of democracy, emotional intelligence in practice, emotion and its place in human life, examples of discussion. 3. Communication in an organisation, basic elements of communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, communication skills, case situations, discussion. 4. Power, influence, authority and their place in human and social life, power aspects of management, examples of discussion. 5. Managing an organisation, influence, power, authority, types of power, types of authority, power versus power, examples of discussion, case situations. 6. Tribal leadership system, stages of leadership, five stages of tribal development, corporate tribes, tribal leader and tribal strategy, discussion, case studies. 7. Collaboration, relationship to collaboration, communication theme, relationship structure, core values, noble goal, examples, discussion. 8. Emergence of corporate communities, their importance, evolution, stages of formation, dynamics and maintenance of communities, examples, discussion. 9. Shared values in a corporate community, evaluation, motivation tools, examples, discussion. 10. Issues of change, mistakes in the process of implementing and managing change, steps to implement change, examples, discussion. 11. Causes for agreeing and resisting change, visions and their milestones, change management principles, examples, discussion. 12. Charter of the research organization and its aspects, tools for setting it in the organization. EU Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, tools for its application in the organisation.
